We will be traveling by train from Epernay to Paris EST on Sunday morning, September 18. Is it necessary to buy the train tickets in advance, or can we just purchase them the day of travel at the station? Thank you!
There is open seating on regional trains and no reservations are possible. If all seats are taken (highly unlikely), you can stand.
OK, thanks for the info!
sorry, I got the date wrong on my question. We are traveling on Sunday, 9/23. Thanks!
Looks like a regional TER train marked "Blue Period, No Reservation Necessary" Price is 22.50 no matter what, changeable, refundable (subject to conditions).
So yes, you can just buy them at the station.
Thanks, Sam. Someone told me the trains tend to sell out on Sundays, which is why I was wondering if I needed to purchase them 2 weeks in advance to be assured of seats.
