Train connections from Rome to Sorrento, Italy

I am looking in my Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable (Winter 2009) and it looks like the train from Rome stops at Napoli Centrali. The table for trains from Naples to Sorrento leave from Napoli Porta Nolana and stop at Napoli Piazza Garibaldi a few minutes later. No mention of Napoli Cnetrali.

Do the trains from Rome also stop at any of the latter two train stations in Naples, or is there train connection between Centrali and Porta Nolana I need to know about and take.

Peter,

The method I'd use to get from Rome to Sorrento would be to take the EuroStar Italia / Alta Velocita from Roma Termini to Napoli Centrale. From there walk downstairs and use the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento. On the Circumvesuviana be sure to watch your luggage and wear a Money Belt!

Happy travels!

Peter - The train stop in Naples for the Circumvesuviana is just downstairs from the Central Train Station. Very easy.

Peter,
Upstairs is Napoli Centrali, the railroad station. Downstairs is Garibaldi, the metro and Circumvesuviana station.
Itis like the Ostiense, rail, and Piramide, metro, in Rome.
