We will arrive in Berlin 13 April and plan to leave Vienna 28 April (Sunday). Is booking in Berlin enough time for the Vienna/Venice trip or shd we do this from the US?

If you are taking a night train I would book as soon as you can. I am not sure how much advance is needed for daytime travel.

If you are taking the route that includes transferring in Villach to a bus into Venice, I suggest booking it ahead. The bus was sold out from Venice when we took it to Villach for a transfer, but we already had our tickets which had been set to the US.

Thanks. After reading posts on my duplicate post and Seat 61, we have decided to go by rail all the way via Salzburg.
