Worcester Foregate Street is the central train station in Worcester. The simplest route is Worcester to London Paddington, the Tube from Paddington to London Liverpool Street station, and the Stansted Express to the airport. From Paddington take the Bakerloo Line to Oxford Circus and the Central Line from there to Liverpool Street. If you buy a through ticket from Worcester to Stansted, it will cover your ride on the Tube. Allow up to 4 1/2 hours total travel time.

Thank you. It sounds rather complicated. Is there a website that I could view all of these changes and the costs?

Suzanne. it is not as complicated as it sounds Take the train from Worcester to London. You arrive at Paddington. the Stansted Express goes from Liverpool Street train station (London) to Stansted Those two parts are easy to get from paddington to Liverpool Street you need to take the Tube. Circle Line (yellow) and Hammersmith? (pink) lines go directly from paddington to Liverpool Street. When you get to paddington check the Tube map you will see how easy it is. While you are in the Tube there is a big wall map in the car and you can check off the stations so you will know when to get off. Obviously its a bit more awkward if you are dragging luggage. You could take a taxi from Paddington to Liverpool Street, but its fairly long jaunt and you could hit traffic

Paddington has two Underground stations. If you take the route I suggested, you would depart from the one called Paddington. If you follow the route suggested by Brian, you would depart from the Paddington H&C station. The route I suggested is faster even though you have to make a connection at Oxford Circus. To keep it simple, follow Brian's route. For a zoomable Tube map, go here. The cheapest advance purchase train tickets for the combined Worcester-Paddington ride and the Liverpool Street-Stansted ride will cost £43.50. The tickets will also cover your ride on the Tube. For timetables go here.
