Train Advice - Barcelona to Arles/Avignon

Is it possible to catch an early train from Barcelona, stop to do a 2 hour tour of the Dali Museum, then continue to Arles and get there around 5-6PM? Which trains will accomplish this. I tried looking at renting a car in Barcelona to drive the route, but unable to reserve in Barcelona and drop off in Avignon keeping the car for 3-4 days. Spending 3 nights in Barcelona, then 3 nights in Arles with loose plans to go to Villefranche for 2 nights. Don't need a car after Arles/Avignon.

Looks like there is a 1:30 train from Figueras that will get you into Avignon before six. (There are earlier trains too, which you might prefer.) And, there are several trains from Barcelona that will get you to Figueras by 10. So, depending on the hours for the museum, it sounds as though you can do this all by train.¶ Another option would be to rent a car in Barc and leave it in Figueras, if that would gain you any time.

I'll add some details to what Adam said. Leave Figueras at 13:30, connect in Cerbere and Narbonne, and arrive in Arles at 17:54. For detailed timetables use the German Rail site, www.bahn.com/i/view/USA/en/index.shtml. Enter Barcelona Sants as your departure point and Figueras as your arrival point. Do a separate search using Figueras as your departure point and Arles as your arrival point. Click on the arrow to the left of the departure time(s) of your choice to see the connecting points.
