We're visiting Paris in May. I'm taking my 21 yr old niece with me. Where can I take her shopping? She loves music, and art, she also loves taking pictures of historical monuments and building. We have a cruise tour already. I would love to take her to someplace where kids her age shop and hang out. Not like us old folks.....ha! ha!
Thanks for the info in advance...
In Paris, women her age are adult, meaning that there's not a U.S. style "hanging out" culture. She'd probably be happy in the cafes and bars that suit her style. There are a number of trendy neighborhoods to explore - Time Out is probably the most current source of info - www.timeout.com.
The same advice applies to your niece as everyone else: Know before you go. The more a person knows about the destination, the more interesting and the more fun it can be. Rick Steves' book Europe 101 is a good start. Google Earth the places you'd like to visit. Read up on them, too. Once there, a good introduction is the hop on hop off bus tour.
