We are planning a trip to Great Britain for sometime in the fall. Rick says to book fall flights in May or June, but I'm concerned that with the rising cost of fuel prices may jump considerably before then. Our target price is around $600 and we've been seeing prices of $695 for round-trip tickets from our local airport (GSP) to Heathrow for three weeks in October. So, should we keep holding out for a better price or should we go ahead and book the flights?
Airfare is as high as I have seen in 10 years. I would book now.
some would say its getting late! All the air lines seems to be adding to the fuel fees so if you book now you may save. Also - it will give you more opportunity to get the exact day and time you want vs waiting. You can risk waiting for some special deal - but the higher fuel and airport fee may even it out... id book now.
Book YESTERDAY!:)
I just booked flights to London for September. I started looking three weeks ago but for financial reasons had to wait. Several of the airlines have gone up $200 in that time. In the past I've found the farther out you book the less you pay (especially with those fuel charges showing up all over the place and not likely to go away any time soon)
