Time needed to Change flights-Fist timer

We are flying into Paris-CDG via US Airways and will need to fly to Munich via Air France or Lufthansa airline. We are arrival flight is 7am in the morning. Q how much time do we need to give ourselves to catch the next flight. I assume we will need to pick up our luggage and go through customs and re-check our bags?

You should allow at least two hours. You shouldn't have to recollect your luggage, all three of the airlines you list have baggage agreements so you won't see you bags again until you arrive in Munich. You go through your immigration (passport) check at CDG, but customs (baggage) is done at the Munich airport. When you check-in for your US Airways flight may sure to confirm with the agent that they are "tagged" all the way to Munich.

David, I agree at least 2 hours... minimum. CDG is very busy and going through customs can be quick if your group is the first batch of people, or very long if multiple airlines arrive at the same time.

Also don't be fooled by the line. We were in the non EU side with 20 people in line. Our line took longer than the adjacent group of 100's!

It depends on the airport, but 2 hours is usually enough. I've never missed a connection on the way there with 2 hours. Even when changing airlines, I've never had to reclaim my luggage before the last stop, so that saves time. It's coming back, if you have a stop in a US city before you arrive at your home airport, where you really need to make sure you have enough time.
