My husband and I will be flying into Dublin around 8am. We plan on leaving by bus straight away for Galway. About how much time should we expect for it to take us to land, collect our bags etc. and get comfortably onto a bus? I would like to prebook and do not want us to be panicked or have too much extra time on our hands.

I always give it an hour. You just never know how many other planes might be landing at the same time. I have never taken a bus from Dublin, though. Can you leave straight from the airport? If you have to get into town first, allow two hours.

Our family did a trip to Ireland this past May, and I think it took 45-60 minutes. Most of that time was spent waiting for my wife and daughter's luggage. Here is a link to bus service from Dublin Airport to Galway (www.gobus.ie).

Agree, would allow an hour, may be a lot less but you never know.
