Will an arrival at 3:00 pm at the Venice airport allow enough time to board a Costa cruise ship departing at 6:00 pm? Do customs/immigration take long in VCE? Is the travel time fairly short from the airport to the cruise terminal? Thanks for any help!

Don't you want to actually see any of Venice? That sounds pretty tight to me... I've seen 40 minutes quoted for the trip from the airport to P Roma by bus, figure another 20 to buy/find/wait for the next bus, that's one hour. I'd have thought the Maritime Port from P Roma by foot or vaporetto around the Guiedecca Canal to San Basilio at least half an hour, maybe taxi. Then the long march to your ship. I'm assuming that you probably will have cruise luggage. That will slow you down, both at the airport and getting to the ship. What happens if your plane is late? Was the flight set up by Costa? Even if I hated Venice and didn't want anything to do with it I'd get there the previous day, for peace of mind.
