We took the slower bus because it fit with our timing better and was only 20ish minutes longer. We really enjoyed the scenery and their buses are very clean. It was less than half full.
Are there bathrooms on the bus?
It's not 20 minutes long, it's around an hour or so if I recall (I forget if I took the faster or shorter)... I do think there's a typical coach bus bathroom in the back, though I made sure to use a public toilet outside one of the big churches before I headed back so I can't say for sure.
Sounds like Connie took the local and not the SITA Rapide express thus the extra 20ish minutes. The Rapide makes the trip in 1hr. 15min.
Yes, I said it was 20ish minutes longer than the rapide bus. For us, we didn't want to wait an hour for the next rapide bus when the slower bus was not that much longer. We really enjoyed the scenery.
This bus did not have a bathroom. The SENA bus from Rome to Siena did have a bathroom.
