This is a pretty recent interview with Mark Smith, who is the man. The interviewer doesn't do an especially good job but Mark is so well spoken and intelligent that he carries the day.

On both of my recent Europe trips (in the past two years), the Man in Seat 61 has proven invaluable when it came to train travel. I sent him an email with a question and he answered promptly. A big thank you to him from me
