We will be staying in Fussen for 3 days and then staying in Salzburg for 3 days. We are renting a car in Munich and will drop it in Freilassing, Germany to avoid the huge drop fee in Austria. I have read that the German Alpine Road is the most scenic route. Would you recommend this if traveling from Fussen to Freilassing, and how long do you estimate it would take us? Thanks.
