Thanks for the info, I will research further
I don't know if it is any less confusing, but you might try the Belgian Rail site (www.b-rail.be). It does have English. When I put in the airport to "Rogierplein" it came back with "Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode, Place Charles-Rogier 1-3". It says to take an IR to Bruxelles-Nord and walk (12 min) the rest of the way.
what is your question, Nancy?
Looks like she was responding to Lee's answer to her earlier question and doesn't know how use this site. She started a new question when responding to an old one.
Actually she is responding to Maggie's suggestion that she email the hotel. Maybe the hotel is refusing to respond since she didn't write in French. Considering that they insist on giving a French address for a location in the Dutch part of town, they appear to be some "relics" who cling to the belief that French is still AN important language in the world.
Belgium in currently facing an internal crisis, with the minority French expecting the rest of the country to speak French, even though most French do not speak Dutch (Flemish).
Or, maybe, they just haven't had time to respond.
It appears that the only trains using the airport are Interregional trains (IR) and they go to Brussels North (Noord), but as I told her, that is only a short distance (several block walking, one stop on the metro), hardly worth a taxi to Rogierplein.
And, Nancy, instead of starting a new thread each time, just click under Reply on your old thread.
Thanks to all of you. I am so confused about the train system. If you don't have the known name of the stop you cannot always get the information. I apreciate your responses and I did do it wrong, thanks for pointing that out.
Thanks
