Thalys Issues

Has anyone else had issues with buying tickets on Thalys's website? I've talked to my credit card company and my husband to his because they keep rejecting the charges. I really don't want to buy through RailEurope because its almost double the price! Any suggestions? I noticed it said something about being directed to your bank's website to verify identity, but it doesn't do that.

Have you advised your credit card company that you are making this charge? If you have, then check with the credit card company to see if the charge has been presented and why they rejected it.

Last year I bought Thalys ticket from Antwerp to Amsterdam and had no problem. Try different credit card.

I've tried 3 different credit cards. I called one of them today and they say it shows that they (the cc company) are authorizing it, but that Thalys is declining it after the authorization. I was hoping someone knew of some trick or something else I was or wasn't doing. When I first click on their site, I choose France/English. Should I be choosing something else? They don't seem to have a US to choose.

Success! Since I kept having issues with the French site, I changed it to the Netherlands/English and noticed the payment screen was different. It worked! For whatever reason, the French site did not like any of our credit cards.
