Do the Thalys trains from Antwerp to Amsterdam Centrall leave out of the Antwerpen-Centrall stattion? Someone has told me they only leave out of the Antwerpen-Berchem station to go to Amsterdam-Centrall. I will be arriving from Brugge to the Antwerpen-Central station. If needed, how would I get to the Bercham station???? But even if for some reason you wished to take one of them, that is still no problem - you can simply take a local train from Antwerpen Centraal to Antwerpen-Berchem - they take only 4 minutes. That two-train journey to Amsterdam takes a total of 2:10 hours.

I can confirm that. Last fall I took Thalys from Antwerp Centraal Station to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. (Next station is Amsterdam Centraal). Very smooth and fast ride. Antwerp Centraal Station has platforms on several levels. Thalys leaves from the lowest one.

It may have been old information. Berchem used to be the only through station so through trains used it. Antwerpen Centraal (note 2 a's but only one l) used to be a dead end station which has been converted recently into a multi level through station. Since then Berchem is pretty much a local station.
