I have booked two seats in Comfort 1 on the Thalys train from Amsterdam to Paris. It appears from the seating plan that the seats are in the back row (if the train goes forward) or the front row (if the train goes backward). I would have preferred to choose seat in the middle of the car, but that is not an option online. Are these seats ok? Is there any way to change them if I desire?

We used a Rail Pass day for this segment of our trip. Had to pay the extra fee which was small. We had a compartment to ourselves which had 6 seats. There was only 1 other passenger in the 1st class car.

Thanks! It will be a Monday mid-morning, so it sounds like we will have plenty of space to ourselves! Definitely glad I sprung for the First Class...should be fun.
