Thalys account needed?

This morning I was able to purchase the three tickets needed for this fall for me, hubby, and sister. In order to do so I had to leave the phone number blank as the US country code was not an option. All three tickets were emailed to me so I will be able to print them off at home. I am happy with the seats given.

question: Do I now need to create an account with Thalys for any reason that you can think of? I tried, and after about three tries it finally seemed I was successful and a message popped up saying I would receive a confirmation email that I needed to click a link to form my account. That email never came. Is this something I need to pursue or let it be?

Thanks for any guidance you can give me.

Did you check your spam folder? (Sorry probably a dumb question)

You have the tickets in hand to print whenever you want, so you're fine. Creating an account might help if the tickets allow online exchanges, but would be more useful for frequent purchasers than for you.

Thanks Kim, and yes, that was the first place I looked, expecting to see it there when it didn't pop up in regular email.

Laura, these are the cheap 35 euro 2nd class tickets, not flexible. I can't imagine needing to buy tickets more than once a year so if there is no other reason to have the account I won't worry about setting up an account.

Thanks for your help!

Guess what email showed up a couple of minutes ago? Uh huh, account set up.

Thanks Wo. I don't know if I'll ever need it as a once a year traveler but if I do, I have it.
