TGV website problems

I am trying to book a ticket reservation on the TGV website and have used Rick's advice of using another country than USA but when I get prompted to pay for the train ticket it won't let me pay for it since my credit card is at my home address in USA.

When I put in that I from the USA it directs me to Rail Europe and they charge twice as much for the same ticket!

Any help or hint would be great?

Thanks in advance!

If you are continually telling it that you live in Great Britain, the only time it will ask for your addres is if you choose to have the tickets mailed to you at home...that, you cannot do. You must select print at home, or pickup at a ticket office or from the automatic machines (the automatic machines don't accept American credit cards, but with your receipt and the card you used to make the purchase, you can pick them up at the train station ticket office.) The website does not ask for your address on the billing page unless you've selected the mail to home option. There are two spots you usually have to input your country....on the opening page when you click on the Union Jack flag sitting on the map of the UK, then the following page when you enter your origin and destination.

Were you able to book your tickets saying you were from Great Britian? The advice on the man in seat 61 site says to do the reservations in whatever country you are going to be travelling in, and we are considering a trip from France to Italy by train, but am uncertain about booking in french!
