TGV Rail strike end of June

We were planning to travel from Geneva, Switzerland to Paris on 28 June and return to Geneva on the evening of the 29th. As of now, a rail strike is planned for the 28th. Does anyone know if we should go ahead and book tickets on the 28th, or is the probability of a strike certain, since it appears that is the last day marked? Are the affects greater or lesser beginning travel from Geneva that day?

I am traveling with 2 granddaughters, and have never used the train system before, so have no knowledge of what to expect. Thank you for any advice.

Even without strike action, your plan calls for you to spend the bulk of the 28th on a train TO Paris, overnight and most of one day IN Paris, then many hours on an evening train (no scenery) FROM Paris. Lot of time on trains for very little Paris.
Have you seen the views of the Alps in Berner Oberland ? If not, that might be a better use of your time, save Paris for when you can give it the tome it deserves.

No one knows if the stirke will go on this long, but I wouldn't risk it. I also wouldn't travel to Paris and then go back right away to Geneva. Save Paris for another time when you can stay longer. If you MUST go, then fly.
