I'm taking the TGV right from CDG in September to Strasbourg. I've never done this before and I am wondering how long it would take, theoretically, from the time after I've gone thru immigration to get to the platform. I'm not familiar with this set up. If I arrive at 9:30am and it takes an hour to get off the plane and through immigration, is it possible to make an 11:22am train? Or should I bite the bullet and take the 3:00pm train. I will have carry on luggage and am arriving on a direct flight from LAX. Any thoughts appreciated!
If you are thinking of buying this ticket in advance, just consider that it is nonrefundable, should your flight be cancelled/late or lines longer.

If your plane is on time, if you are in Terminal 2 at a gate that doesn't require a shuttle bus, if you aren't in the back of the plane and if several planes haven't arrived at the same time, backing up the passport control, you should be able to make the train with no problem. Add time if any of the above interferes.
If you have to wait all the way to 3 pm, it's faster for you to take the regional rail RER B to Gare du Nord, walk 5 minutes to Gare de l'Est and buy a ticket for the next train to Strasbourg. Or take a taxi directly to the Gare de l'Est and take the next train to Strasbourg.
With carry-on only, 2 hours is doable, even though my typical advice would be 2.5.
A TGV from Gare de l'Est at 13:30 or so would be a suitable backup plan. Better than staying at CDG until 15:00.
Thanks Elizabeth and Balso for the great tip
