just a note to anyone who cares. I just purchased train tickets for Paris to Rome for 3 in 1st class on the Artesia night train through TGV for $260, the same thing from Rail Europe was $684 WOW! what a differance. that's a big savings that can go towards more fun stuff on our trip. make sure you check as soon as their available to get the big savings. my next big train ticket purchase will be from Venice to Munich on the city night line. hopefully DB Bahn can save me some more $$$ vs Rail Europe?
I've seen price differences like that too, I'm trying to book an Artesia from Venice to Paris (I'm still more than 90 days out though). How did you get your tickets shipped to the US? or did you say to pick them up at the station? My main problem is how to get the tickets, I don't think I can pick them up in Italy.
Thanks for the info!

Steve (or anyone!):
Can Euraide order all of my tickets or just the ones I need reservations for? I have a bunch of tickets I need to buy (well only about 8 or so), but if they can get them all for me for only $50, that would be well worth it for me.
Thanks!
Heath, in the past Euraide has been able to order tickets for me as well as just reservation but note that I said "in the past"--I don't know if it's still possible. If I were you, I would call Karen at Euraide to ask. She is extremely helpful and considerate!
Just an update on my purchase for train tickets from Venice to Munich on the City Night Line thru DB BAHN. you have to act quick through DB Bahn, they wern't on sale this morning, but when I got home from work my 1st choice of a deluxe 3berth 1st class, for the special price was sold out. so I got a T3 sleeper for 3 people for $360, and they will mail me the tickets too. all that was offered through Rail Europe was 3 single 1st class tickets for $1161. another big saveings. does anyone know how comfortable a T3 is? just a reminder, act quick through DB for your 1st choice.
Heath, I think Euraide can print tickets as well as reservations. In Munich, at least, they have a German Rail ticket terminal just like the ones around the corner in the Reisezentrum, so they should be able to order tickets just like you could at the German Rail counter, but don't ask me. Call them.
