Terminals at CDG

Hello,

Does anyone know what if US Airways uses Terminal 1 or 2 at Charles DeGaulle? Or do they us both? If Terminal 1, where is the easiest place to catch a cab into Paris?

According to www.easycdg.com, US Airways uses Terminal 1. You can see a map of Terminal 1 at that site which includes the location of taxi drop-off points. You can get the same information at the Aeroports de Paris site, www.adp.fr.

Is there a particular reason why you need to take a taxi rather than one of the cheaper alternatives: RER, Roissybus, Air France coach?

Wes, I agree w/ Tim. Depending on the time of the day you can really pay a lot of money using a taxi.

The metro is so convenient, and, if you travel light as Rick suggests, you should have no problem getting to your Parisian destination.

Thank you Tim and Michelle,

Yes. We are taking the train to Bayeux and I want to get the noon train at the latest. I think getting the 1045 will be cutting it, as our flight lands at 755am if it is on time. We are only bringing carry on luggage for the five day trip. Not checking luggage. It is my wife's first time to France, (I have been twice) and I think with the jet lag and changing of trains (RER to metro) will be hectic. I'm fine with paying the taxi fare to get to Gare St. Lazare, so we can relax a little.

I realize it will cost about 50-55 euro.

On the return trip will catch the RER up to CDG.

Thank you for your help!

If taking a taxi is worth it to you, then go for it. However, just for the record, to get to Gare St-Lazare you would take the RER B to Gare du Nord, walk through the tunnels to Magenta, take the RER E to Haussmann St-Lazare, and walk to Gare St-Lazare. No Metro leg.

Since you've been to France before, you probably already know this; but I'll mention it in case you don't. The RER B line divides northeast of Paris. When you return to CDG, be sure to get on a train that is going there.
