Does anyone know about how much a taxi costs in Germany? I know it depends on how far you are traveling, but my friend and I might need to take short taxi rides here and there because we wont have a car. I didn't know if anyone knew an average taxi ride is for maybe a 10 - 15 minute drive?
I think that this may vary by city. The DK guide for Berlin for example includes this info. No matter what, I would check into trams, buses and other public transit as this is generally much cheaper and often as convenient.

Thank you! We were wondering about taxis because certain days we are traveling to either a castle or a farmhouse that are more specific to general places. I didn't know of any other way besides a taxi to get there.
I can tell you that for a taxi ride from Munich's airport by taxi to downtown (per www.taxi-muenchen-online.de) is about €51 Euro, without any luggage charges (?) or any traffic delays. The taxi-muenchen site says that the charge, with 10% delays due to traffic, would be €57.
Compare that to the €10 fare for a single person on the S-Bahn or the €18 (total, not per person).
It varies by city. Frankfurt and Munich are the most expensive ones. Riding in a cab in Berlin is extremely inexpensive. If you catch a running cab in the "Mitte" area and stay within that district the fare is a flat €2. In Frankfurt a 10 minutes ride within downtown is around €20 (twenty).
