We need to get a taxi for a short distance from Burien, Washington to Seatac before our flight to Europe. Anyone know which taxi company is most reliable, no flaky, and reasonably priced? Even though it's a short distance (about 7 miles) to take the bus would require at least one transfer so the taxi will be the easiest way to go.
Tina, call Yellow Cab. www.yellowtaxi.net. (206-622-6500). They are reliable and have the contract to service Sea-Tac so they know the way.
Tina: Doug is right about Yellow Cab. They are reliable. Having said that, I live in Burien and am a bus commuter. If you want to save money, there are buses that leave the Burien Transit Center for SeaTac. Sound Transit Bus #560 (Bellevue) is one of the busses. King County Metro bus #140 leaves the Burien Transit Center for the Tukwila Link Light Rail Station where you would then have to transfer to the short light rail connection to SeaTac. If you want a direct connection though, take the Sound Transit #560. See link below. http://www.soundtransit.org/Schedules/ST-Express-Bus/560.xml
Thank you !!!
Just as info. I called yellow can. Woman who answered was not helpful. I asked for estimate and she would not give me one. Told me hourly rate, so I asked if I times that times the miles I should be in ball park. SHe gave me a half hearted yes. Then I asked what the lead time would be to get a cab. She started to tell me how long it takes to get there. I figured I have not been clear and restated the question, how much time should I call ahead to be sure we can get a cab. I wasn't look for an extact time, just an idea. SHe said she couldn't tell me. She was not helpful, pretty rude about it. She acted like I was really bothering her. Looks like I will use another company.
