Hello Everyone,
Do taxis leaving Charles de Gaulle airport accommodate groups of 4? My family (2 adults + 2 kids) would like to take a taxi from CDG to the center of Paris instead of the RER.
Thanks for your time/help!
Mike
Yes. The key thing to remember is to make sure you go to the official taxi rank.
Thank you Carol! I assume there are official taxi stands outside of each terminal at Charles de Gaulle? I think we are arriving at T2. I appreciate your reply!
Mike, as you exit T2 Baggage claim and the Customs walk thru, look at the signs for the taxis which are off to the right…they are out Door 10. The manager at the head of the line will get you an appropriate size taxi. They may motion you to stand to one side while they call up a larger rig.
Yes, follow (as others have said) the official Taxi signs.
Taxis are a fixed rate between the airport and Paris for up to 4 people:
€53 to the Right Bank
€58 to the Left Bank
Thank you Pam and Kim for your great advice and time!
Yes, we are a family of 4 who didn’t pack light for our last trip to Paris. We used the official taxis. When you enter the line, tell the employee how many are in your group. They will direct you to a minivan or marg SUV to accommodate your group and luggage. You may have to wait a few minutes and let smaller groups go ahead of you.
If you will need a taxi back to the airport, ask your hotel to arrange for one the night before and specifically request a minivan.
