TAP miles and go

I just signed up. Did you get sent an email to confirm your registration and then asked for a password?

If so, you are in the program. You should also have gotten another email with your account number.

I was not asked for passport info or green card or tax id. I signed up through the app. It asked for my name, country, state, telephone number, and email address?

When I sign on to the site, it says my name and has a thing to click to join TAP miles and go. When I try, it says I need to complete my profile, but doesn't tell me what's not complete. The green card number is the only thing I didn't fill out since I don't have one. I tried doing it with my middle name, which is on my passport, and without, which is what my profile says. I sent them a message asking for clarification.

Even if you fly TAP, you don't have to bank your miles with their program. For Star Alliance flights, I am accruing my miles with Aegean Airlines. They offer pretty good redemption rates. I heard that TAP's program gets lots of mixed reviews, including unhelpful customer service.

It doesn't need your profile to join. I think you are trying to Register on the site rather than signing up to Miles and go. Are you using the app or the website?

As long as you get an email with your number you're fine. Stop worrying abour your profile.

Frank, I tried your link and not surprisingly, it says my email is already attached to an account or a miles and go account. I've had an account with them for a while, since I first flew with them, but it doesn't appear that I have miles and go within the account, so I suppose I'm not accruing any points, which I'd like to use toward possible seating upgrades. It's when I try to add miles and go to my account that it says I've not completed my profile.

I checked my United account too after reading the responses here and despite having just flown with them a few weeks ago, my account says I have no points and no history of flights, so the problem appears to be me and something I'm doing when I create new accounts. I wish I could say that surprises me, but I'll admit my tech skills are a bit of a joke in my family for good reason.

Don"t worry about completing the profile.

Do you include your Miles & Go number when you make your reservation? It's not automatic unless you log in first.
