Ran across this on Clark Howard's site and thought I would pass along just in case it was a fit for someone. I have no idea if it is a good deal or not since I very seldom use public transportation and not enlightened on prices but maybe it works for someone here. "Switzerland + Paris
Buy a Swiss Pass and the deal is sweetened with a complimentary second class round-trip rail tickets to Paris on the high-speed Lyria (travel must be completed by December 10). Find yourself in a different world in only 3.5 hours from Switzerland. The most economical qualifying Swiss Pass is a 4-day Saver Pass with adult rates of $238, Second Class. This pass valid for 2-5 travelers who are traveling together at all times. The pass must be used within 6 months of date of purchase. Thanks for the heads-up. That is a great deal---wish we could take advantage of it. The Paris ticket is also available with a 3-day Flex (Saver) pass for $229. This pass may be more useful to some than a 4-day consecutive pass. Also not the restriction: "Offer is limited to the first 100 eligible tickets booked on or before 11:59pm ET on October 12, 2011." So if you want to take advantage of the offer, best do so quickly.
