Hello I am not arriving in Switzerland until August 10 2013. Must I purchase a Swiss pass beforehand here in American before I can make reservations on the scenic trains? I do want to make my reservations now to avoid disappointment. Also, what is the best site on which to make reservations for the trains such as the GE? Any help appreciated....thank you. Patrick

You do not need to have the pass in hand to make the reservation on th eglacier Express. Use this website: http://www.glacierexpress.ch/EN/Pages/default.aspx

You can buy your Swiss Pass on arrival, which I assume will be either Geneva or Zurich. Since I'v e never reserved seats on the scenic trains I can't help with this one

Hello Thank you both for your help. All this train stuff can be so confusing to the uninitiated. I just made reservations on the site advised by Lola., Are there sites for the Bernina Express, The Golden Pass and William Tell. Any help again appreciated. Thanks again. PAtrick
