Swiss Pass

Hi, This may sound silly but I would like to confirm this. I am considering buying Swiss Pass for my Suisse trip and will be crossing over to Munich from Zurich. May I able to use the Swiss Pass for the train from Zurich to Munich as 1 day? Is this feasible? Any other options besides flight? Thank you.

I believe that the Swiss pass will only be good to the Swiss/German border. Same for any return. Just show your pass to the agent and he/she will adjust the fare accordingly.

Swiss Pass is only for Switzerland...not Germany.

There is a direct train( no changes) leaving Zurich around 10 am, taking just over 4 hours. The standard fare is 92 CHF, but using a Swiss Pass for the portion in Switzerland will bring the fare down to 45 CHF if you still have a day on your Swiss Pass. However, by buying in advance on SBB.ch, you may be able to get a Special Offer price of 60 CHf, which means it is hardly saving a day on the Swiss Pass to use for this journey, unless you have extra days anyway.
