Is the Swiss Flexi Pass for 15 days in 1 month available for purchase in Switzerland with your passport as proof you are not a Swiss citizen? Is there any advantage to buying them here in the United States before traveling? Thank you!

Yes it is available at most Swiss manned railway stations.
The price in Switzerland is 484 chf. That is equivalent this instant to $515 US. With credit card fees, it might end up as much as $ 535 US
The price through Rick Steves is $507 US. Looks like a bargain. These prices get changed frequently to reflect currency fluctuations. They ship UPS in 3 days at no charge.
The only advantage I can see to buying over there, is if you change your mind or something happens between now and your planned arrival in Switzerland that you don't want it. I believe there is some sort of cost to returning the Pass for a refund.
