i leave for switzerland in 10 days, and will be buying 2 swiss passes. is it better to buy them in the u.s. or switzerland?

Check the price here (in dollars) and on the Swiss Travel system website (in Swiss francs) then compare, and take into account any foreign transaction fees your credit card charges. You won' tpay those if you buy here; you will if you buy in Switzerland.
