Swiss Half-FareTravel Card?

A few questions: Does this pass cover the Bernina Express? If so, can I still purchase tickets ahead of time on the sbb.ch website? With this pass we have to wait in line to buy tickets each time, right? But aren't there lots of ticket machines in the train station? We are traveling in June--do you expect we will waste a lot of time waiting in lines to buy tickets, versus if we had a Flexi Pass? For purchasing tickets in advance on sbb.ch, if we are planning on purchasing this pass then do we just select under "Switzerland" that we will have a "Half-Fare Travel Card 1/2/3-year?" I am confused by the "1/2/3-year" part--what does that mean? Thanks!

The Swiss half-fare card is good on all Swiss transportation. However, there may be supplemental fees on the scenic trains. We paid 15E extra on the Glacier Express. Other than that, you're fine. Next, you have to wait until you get to Switzerland to buy the Swiss half-fare card. I don't think you can buy it online. However, you don't have to wait until you get to the Bernina express to buy your tickets for the scenic train. You can get them at any staffed train station.
