Just received ours- of course its a blank card with spaces for childrens names, parents names, address and signature. There looks to be a box for a validation stamp. Do we complete the information required or does the validating station agent do this ?
We filled in everything and then took it to the agent at the ticket window with passports to prove identity and that the information (especially ages of the children) was correct. He stamped it and that was it.
The Swiss Train people are very easy to deal with on most occasions. We used our Swiss Passes last week before officially validating them. We wrote in the start and stop date, names, and passport numbers. We didn't actually validate them at the Swiss Ticket Counter until the next day. Normally I wouldn't recommend doing it that way, but we had tight connections on our train trip from Venice to Murren and didn't have to time to disembark and wait in a line at the ticket window. We explained this to the conductors who all seemed to understand our situation and just told us to wait until we arrived at our Swiss destination before officially validating them.
