Has anyone had any luck making Eurail/Interrail train reservations on Sweden's rail website? I'm traveling in July with an Interrail pass and wanted to make my night train seat reservations online, which is supposedly possible, but am having no luck. When I get to the payment page it won't accept my American or French bank card. Maybe someone out there has some pointers?

If I remember correctly (it's been a couple years!), we had a similar problem. I think all the online visa payments, your card had to have the extra authentication level (I think it's Verified by Visa?). Once I activated it, I was able to make our purchases with the visa card. Hope this helps!

Most likely you cannot make the online reservation with a US credit card. I had the same problem trying to make a ferry reservation. My card was not accepted even with the Visa verification deal.
You'll have to call and do it manually over the phone. Don't worry, they will speak English.

As an update, I did end up making the reservations over the phone. It still seems strange that the FAQ page says you can reserve online, and it wouldn't accept a European card, but ultimately it worked out.
One recommendation for anyone else is to have the webpage open in front of you, because the woman I spoke with, while super helpful, had trouble finding the trains I wanted.
Calling is definitely a fairly easy experience, although I imagine if you're calling from the States it could be a little pricey!
