Summer Trip Flights Finalzed

After spending the last two weeks finalizing our details here is our itinerary for the flights.

SFO-LHR Virgin Atlantic $550 for 2 and $430 for 1
After our Cruise $321 all in for 3 LGW-ORY Vuelling with Luggage and Seats
ORY-PRG $305.97 for 3 all in Nonstop on Vuelloing with Luggage. The train had 2-3 connections and a very long day.

PRG-TLV $204 per passnger via Warsaw on LOT with Luggage

TLV-FRA-SFO $917(per passenger) +$50 seat assignments from TLV-SFO . The FRA-SFO is on Condor in Premium Class. I will use my AMEX Plat card to access the Senator Lounge at FRA and Priority Pass for other lounges. My AMEX card gets me into the VIrgin Clubhouse at SFO!

So now you can see how much to budget for a trip! We are gone for a month and a week and have a 9 Day British Isles Cruise.

I would like your feedback on the pricings I got! I used Sky Scanner and booked directly with the airlines.

I found AirBnBs in Paris and Prague.

Since you're going for over a month and visiting so many different cities, coming up with a budget would be extremely difficult.

We're really good at procuring cheap airfares in coach and we certainly don't stay in luxurious accommodations. We try to control our spending by visiting cities and countries that are "less expensive." And we too recognize the value in some cruises going to expensive locales. I'll pay for luggage on a budget European airline flight--but only if it costs to carry it on. We check no bags, and travel light.

But our budget is simply whatever the balance on our credit card is when we return. Unfortunately, it seems as if our credit card statement beats us home every time.

Thanks David for your reply. I am quite the Travel Agent for my Family(: I have enjoyed planning trips since I was 13 almost 14 for our three month trip to Europe. I wonder how many teens were watching all the Rick Steves shows and PBS Pledge drive specials?

I have oficially taken over the planning from my Parents who enjoy to travel but who get intimidated by looking over the flights etc. I am quite good at finding sales and good airfares with good times.

I found the best prices on Vueling with Luggage and Seat assignments included. I use the Airllne lounges before the flight to avoid paying the costs of onboard meals! For us carrying on our luggage gets to be more complicated especially with my Parents being older and I am not into the Backpack method. I figure for just a little bit more we get seats at the front of the plane and luggage.

I will also prepay seat assignmetns sp as not to get a middle seat and ones towards the front of the plane. We are saving money even with the added seat costs.

On the Lufhtansa TLV-FRA portion where seat assignmetns are for purchase I got myself a prefered Window Bulkhead as I like the extra legroom and my Parents do not mind getting a standard seat. Yes its $50 but a piece of mind(:
