I'm aware that Europe's train schedule's change with every season. I plan on travelling in July but, because that is in the Summer season, I can't yet view timetables or book tickets for my trip. When is the earliest that I can buy tickets and reservations (or just view the departure times) for my trip in July?
You can view the schedule by just using the same day of the week for next week or next month. Actually changes from quarter to quarter are very small and may only be a few minutes. Depending on the country the summer schedule is available between 60 and 90 days out.
Caleb, you didn't tell us where you are going. For runs that are made by all-Regionale trains, you won't be able to buy them online until you are within 7 days of travel. We can advise further if we know your travel plans.
Thank you both so much guys for replying. I plan to travel from Lourdes to Paris on July 8th. Paris to Verdun (depart in morning, return in evening) July 9th. Paris to Bayeux (depart in morning, return in evening) July 10th. Paris to Dover July 12th. Not sure where in England after that, yet. When could I expect fares to start being posted and reservations to be opening up?
For travel in france it's 90 days out. Use tgv-europe.com and choose your location as being in the UK (so you don't get rerouted to the awful "raileurope").
Sarah, whenever I use Britain on sncf or tgv-europe, the site takes me to raileurope.co.uk which of course has the same astronomical prices as the usual raileurope! When I've wanted the site to stay in English, I've been using Czech Republic. Rail Europe doesn't come up then.
