I have been plesantly surprised to see united air flights to switzerland about $500 less than a few months ago.
Approx $1200 from west coast rd trip.

Hi JS. I checked the LAX and SFO markets to FRA and LON (all airports) for the month of August on itasoftware.com and I see a huge 1/2 price drop to mid $700s (Delta, Air France, AA) on August 23. Is that what you are seeing?

Check Norwegian Air Shuttle's website for lowest fares out of Oakland, LAX and Las Vegas. They're also flying into JFK, Boston, Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale. We flew to Rome and home from Gatwick last week for "the $7's." We flew them to Scandinavia last August, and their planes are flying just about full.
If West Coast airfares are down, it's because Norwegian.com got hold of a number of new 787 Dreamliners and expanded to the U.S.
