I blew it and did not jump on $530 dollar June tics to frankfurt(zurich,amsterdam) when US AIR had bargains early this week--- now, what could I expect to pay for a good deal from Detroit June 15 to 29

Don't give up yet, about 2 weeks ago I found US Airway tickets to Frankfort for $220 each way. It was 1 am in the morning and no way of contacting the other people going with my family so I didn't get the tickets. I was upset, as they almost immediately more than doubled. Three days later they were back down to $250 one way. I was at work that day and so was one of the people we were flying with so I just bought our tickets, including the one for my son's friend who is going with us.
Keep checking and they may go back down again.

Does anyone know of airline sales for travel from the west coast to Rome the end of July? The best I can come up with is around $1,000 through Orbitz. Thanks!

Sign up for alerts with airfarewatchdog.com and also with their blog. They were the ones that notified me about the US Airways sale. One thing they said was that airlines sometimes have unadvertised sales on holiday weekends when not a lot of people are really checking so I would watch with President's Day coming up. You can put in your airport(s) of choice, and they will send you updated prices several times a week.

Another good "watchdog" site is Yapta.com. I've saved hundreds of dollars using them (one time as a voucher for an already-purchased ticket and recently on a June ticket on USAir to Paris which dropped in price by half!) I got the last ticket on Inauguration Weekend, so maybe the holiday sale idea is a good one to watch.
