Stuttgart Airport

I'm looking to book a ticket from Atlanta to Paris for a late october trip. While the flight over is non-stop and no problems the return flight has a plane change in Stuttgart, Germany. Never having been through that airport before, would the 1 hour and 5 min. layover be enough time to change planes? I know better that to try something like that at CDG, but wasn't sure about STR. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Beth

If Delta has ticketed you through, I think they expect you to make the connection. It's not, as I remember, a particularly large airport. I flew out of it, to Atlanta actually, in 2002. Here's the map.

Only one caveat, last time I checked, there was only one flight per day from STR to No. America, that Delta flight to Atlanta. If you miss the connection you are in for a long wait for the next flight.

Two things I would want to know are, 1) on what concourses do you come in and out. If it's the same one (see list of concourses), it should be a breeze. If you are coming in on AirFrance, it looks like they and Delta both use T3. 2) How often are flights out of CDG significantly delayed. If often by an hour, you don't have a chance.

Update: What's your travel date? For the dates I checked, that Delta flight left at 11:00 AM. The only flights from CDG were AirFrance, and the last one before 11 was scheduled to arrive at 8:45. That gives you over 2 hrs. You can check the realtime arrivals from CDG on that website, but you'll have to do it at about 4 in the morning, eastern time.

Thanks for the information. Haven't booked the tickets yet (Oct. 26th- Nov. 2nd) but from the sound out it, if there is only one daily flight back to ATL then it might not be such a good idea. I'll look for other flights.

Thanks for the advice!

I should have said there is only one non-stop flight from Stuttgart to the U.S. I would expect an abundance of flights from there to Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, or London, and from there flights to the U.S. I'm sure your airline will take care of you if the Paris-Stuttgart flight is late.
