When I fly I have a problem in where my nose gets very stuffed up. I have tried nose sprays and over the counter medication. Can anyone suggest something that might help? Thanks in advance.
I use Ayr saline nasal gel. It keeps the nose
moist. It helps me. Sometimes the nose sprays
makes it worse. Good luck.
Gosh, I just flew from Seattle to Amsterdam and the dry air was terrible. My nose was all stuffed up, but at the same time so dry!
I had a washcloth in my carry on bag in a ziploc. I asked the airline attendant to get it wet with very hot water (like they make tea with). When it was cool enough, I put it over my face and breathed the moist air.
It helped, but I sure wished I had some saline spray and maybe even some vaseline to apply.
The two replies above are spot on. You don't want to use a nasal decongestant spray. The saline is the best. I am a chronic sufferer of ear, nose and throat problems and flying is always a problem for me. I take a tablet called Bisolvin, it's an mucolytic and keeps the mucous thin so it drains properly and I also use a steroid nasal spray to stop the congestion in my sinuses. That may be a bit radical for you but I need it
