Struggling with train schedule from Lauterbrunnen to Lyon

after looking at the Swiss rail schedule for Tuesday, May 12th, I can only find one train that goes from Interlaken to Lyon via Golden pass route thru Montreaux.

we are leaving from Lauterbrunnen at 12:33pm to Interlaken to Zweisimmen,Montreaux, Geneve, Lyon...Is it possible that there is only one scenic train per day?
if that is true, how do we make reservations??it arrives at 21:47 which is later than we had hoped. should we forego the scenic Golden Pass train and just take a regular route via Visp????

thank in advance to all the trainophiles

There are earlier scenic trains. See the Golden Pass site for timetables and booking information. You'll probably have to leave Lauterbrunnen a bit earlier to make the right connections.

CLICK HERE to see the Golden Pass runs from Interlaken to Montreux. There appear to be 3 scenic trains per day.

thanks Tim and Larry,

if we have Eurail passes,do we need to book just the Zweismmen to Montreauxleg of the trip and sit in a 2nd class seat from interlaken to Zweisimmen?

is it worth the $$$ to book panoramic from interlaken to montreaux??

if the coach seating shows only one seat facing the isle, does the seat rotate or are you facing the window?

is one side more scenic? there are 2 of us, would it be a good idea to take the seats across from each other , both window seats??

and how do you register on the site? couldnt figure it out....
