Story problem: Sunday Trains Gare St Lazare to Vernon

This reminds me of those old story problems in grade school. ha Who knows the train schedule on Sundays from Gare St Lazare to Vernon? We're trying to figure out what time we'll arrive in Giverny. (We have the chance to have a tour at 12:30 at Monet's. Think we can make it?) Here are the details: We're scheduled to arrive CDG at 7:45 on a Sunday, traveling to Giverny for a few days. Gather luggage, go through customs and grab the RER to Gare St. Lazare. Anyone know that Sunday schedule and which train we might catch? Then we bus to Giverny, drop our bags at La Musardière and hike to Monet's.
What time is it when we get there? :-) Thanks for your input!

Aha! I remember those story problems very well. Although it may not take that long, you need to allow up to an hour to clear immigration/passport control and claim your luggage. The ride on the RER B and RER E will take around 40 minutes. The first train to Vernon you could catch (and the only one that will work for you) departs at 10:36 and arrives at 11:24. The next train doesn't depart until 12:20. According to viamichelin.com, it's 4.5km from Vernon to Giverny.

ah, but for the $64,000 question - can you get a bus on a Sunday at that time?

Aha! So maybe it IS possible. Cool. I have some info on Vernon / Giverny transportation that says the buses run just a few minutes after every train arrives from Paris ~ so hopefully we're good. If not... taxi is good option. Thanks! Hey Tim - do you have a link for that train schedule info?

I used the German Rail site which is the best one for detailed timetables for virtually all of Europe.
