Hoping to store some luggage at Gare Montparnasse this coming Wednesday for several hours while I wait for the TGV. I've read conflicting info: 1. storage lockers are no longer in operation 2. that they have both Auto and manual consignment hours for stored luggage. Anyone know what the deal is? If there are none available here, anyone have any near-by ideas? Thanks very much! -Nancy

www.parisinfo.com, the official site of the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau, says that Gare Montparnasse has both coin-operated lockers and a staffed left luggage office. However, www.gare-en-mouvement.com, a French National Rail site that gives detailed information about stations throughout France, only lists coin-operated lockers. My guess is that this site is more up to date. If so, that would imply that the staffed office has been closed.
