I've read that the nearest railroad station is in St.Raphael. Can one take a bus to St. Raphael? What are your recommended day trips for museums?
I thank you for any info you can give me.
I won't be of much help on your specific questions, but just a note to tell you that Ste. Maxime's is one of my favorite french beach towns. I have stayed there a number of times and would return in a minute. I always have a car, so I just take off to any of the surrounding towns that I want to see. I don't think of it as much of a museum area, but that is probably because when I am in Provence I just want to see the countryside and go to the markets. Have a wonderful time!
Thanks for The reply from Terry in MI ~~I'm even more excited to get to Ste. Maxime, the markets and beach!
Loraine, You are welcome... be sure to check out the market days for Ste. Maxime and surrounding towns. One of my favorite days in Ste. Maxime I was traveling alone and it seemed everyone was going to dinner, so while lunh alone doesn't bother me, that day dinner did. So, I went to a little pizza place and picked up something to go and went to the beach to have dinner by the sea. Everyone else had retreated to the restaurants and I was literaly alone on the Med. Sea to enjoy the sunset. I couldn't have paid for that priceless experience! (I love New Caanan, as I come there to work sometimes... beautiful place)
