What would be the best way to get from Stavanger to Bergen? Train, boats or auto?

It's pretty spectacular scenery if you drive/ferry. I'm betting there's no way to do it by rail without going through Oslo, just judging by the terrain. You won't see much by boat and I think the port is out to the west of Stavanger.

I think Fjordline.com is the best way to travel between Stavanger and Bergen...
