For group of 4 w/luggage going to Heathrow from St. Pancras on a Saturday. Which is easier and faster? Taxi to HLR, Taxi to Paddington ,then Heathrow Express HLR?... or Tube from St. Pancras straight to HLR?

First, Heathrow is LHR not HLR. (HLR is actually the code for Fort Hood Army Air Base in Texas.)
The tube will take about an hour and cost 16 GBP for all of you.
A taxi will take between 45 minutes and an hour and cost about 40-50 GBP.
A taxi to Paddington will be about 15 GBP and then you have a choice of the Heathrow Connect or the Heathrow Express. Depending on your choice it will take anywhere form 1-2 hours.
If you have lots of luggage and dont' want to carry it far, take a taxi. If you don't mind some stairs and walking a bit, take the tube.
