Does anyone know if we will need a car to get from St Martin B Lofer to Salzburg and Hallstat? Our timeshare is Schloss Grubhoff in Lofer and we'd rather not have to find parking in Salzburg as well as Hallstat. Are there buses or taxis to a nearby trainstation in Lofer?

"need a car to get from St Martin B Lofer to Salzburg Hbf and Hallstat?" Not if you plan. There are a few buses daily from St. Martin to Salzburg by way of the Berchtesgaden area. They leave St. Martin at 9:36, 13:36, 17:36, and 19:36 and take a little over an hour. From Salzburg Hbf it's about 2 hours by train to Hallstatt. There is no train station in Lofer. The nearest station is about 50 min away in Zell am See or 35 min away in Saalfelden, by bus. The bus from St. Martin stops at Saalfelden Postamt on its way to Zell. From there it is about a ¾ mile walk to the station or you can wait a 3 to 35 min (depending on time of day) for a 4 min connecting bus.
