SPOT Saver at SeaTac

We’ll be departing from SeaTac in a couple of weeks and plan to use the SPOT Saver service. Although it’s been around for a few years I only learned of it recently. So I have a few questions for others that have actually used it.

  • First, where do we find the Spot Saver line? Is it well marked as such?
  • Should we expect to see several people already in line there, like maybe 10 or more?
  • Once we’re checked in with the Spot Saver person for our appt time, do they usher us up to the spot where we put our items into the tubs?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

When I used it in late July there were zero people in line and we (3 of us) zipped right through (it was about noon on a Friday). There was a lady at the start of the Spot Saver area who checked our reservation code.

I did have to ask someone where to go for Spot saver as when we get to our chosen checkpoint area I didn't see the signs for it, but they were friendly and pointed it out.

It worked really well and would do it again

Thank you Angella, glad to hear it worked well for you.

You said you had to ask someone where to go once you got to the checkpoint ….. where was it? Was it off to one side or somewhere more tricky to find? Is there a sign that’s just hard to spot?

Once you were checked in with the Spot Saver person did they usher you right up to where you put your items into the tubs?

Thanks again!

The one time I used Spot Saver (I usually don't since I have usually have pre-check), I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment. I asked the attendant if this was a problem and I was waved right in. You simply have a different "rope line" to walk through that is shorter than the general security line. You will end up at the same place as they do, showing ID and then going through the security line as usual (unless things have changed.) It can save you a great deal of time in getting up to the TSA agent. It saves you no time after that.
