Spirit Airlines has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This is the second time in a year.
The airline will keep flying for now but said it will cut some routes. Spirit is the largest discount carrier in the USA. Frontier Airlines, the second biggest, said it plans to add routes hoping to pick up Spirit customers.

Not many folks look to be betting on its survival.
When it emerged from Bankruptcy in April its stock was priced at $8.33.
In today's after hours trading it is at 66 cents.
I will be sad. We take Spirit quite a bit. The routes from our home airport to Chicago where we have lots of family often are more convenient and the prices are good. They also keep other airlines’ prices down. They used to fly out of Denver but since they left, prices went up.
